Quarantine and Ambient Conditions

 

We strongly recommend that you place your new plant in quarantine away from other plants, in a place with a humidity level between 65% and 80%, and at a pleasantly warm temperature.

Adapted Light

​

Adapt the lighting according to the needs of the plant, but avoid too intense light from the start. Keep in mind that your plant is coming out of a period in a box and needs to gradually acclimatize to the light.

No Immediate Repotting

​

It is not recommended to change the substrate of the plant in the first two weeks after receiving it. Most of our plants are already repotted in a carefully prepared 9-ingredient aroid mix. We recommend that you keep this initial substrate, as our plants are expected to grow there for the next few weeks. When it comes to sphagnum, the choice is yours whether or not to replace it after two weeks, but be sure to keep it moist so the roots continue to receive water.

Preventive Pest Control

​

If you spot small, moving white dots on your plant, there's no need to worry. All our plants are preventively treated using predators. It could be that these tiny mites are actually one of these predators. They pose no danger to you, your home, your pets, your children or other plants. They will naturally disappear over time. If you prefer to speed up their departure, a simple rinse with water could be enough.
